Jefferson County is one of the Hot Spots in the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.  Total Population from the Census Brureau was estimated at 216,469 which is a 9.3% increase since 2000. Jefferson County still has 30% farm land and offers many choices to new residents.  Jefferson County has many older established stable neighborhoods, we also have many new developments where you can have your new home built.  Jefferson County Missouri has so much to offer home buyers.  We have 11 accredited AAA Public Schools, 15 Private Schools and Jefferson  College which is the local community college with 3 convienient locations.
